We have received a small grant form the US Embassy in We have managed cut our estimated budget (the total we will have spent by the end of September) to $40 000. The project director and American students are all volunteers.
Over the fall and winter we managed to cut costs agressively--down to $2000/month for office rental, internet, drafting and survey supplies, printing, local transportation, utilities and salaries for Cambodian participants. This keeps our doors open but does not include purchases of materials and equipment that we badly need--or the funds we had to spend to get up and running. It also does not account for the upcoming rise in expenses to produce materials for exhibition, archiving and publication by our deadline at the end of September 2010.
